Journey to
cancer is the toughest test in life of cancer victims. It can undoubtedly be a
physical, mental and emotional challenge for them but what really hit me were
the humble children battling cancer illness. At young age they already experiencing the
dilemmas brought by this dreaded disease.
Struggling to fight in order to continue life instead of enjoying their childhood
momentous. But despite of their crucial condition, these children still had high spirit ,laughing and playing like all children do . Their milestone of facing frustrations and acceptance gave
me a true inspiration of determination, hope and faith, courage and bravery
facing the challenge of life.
His name is Gregory .One year ago, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
and has been fighting a successful battle since. He has shown more
courage in only 4 years of life.
Childhood cancer affects thousands of children and families nationwide. The disease not
only changes a child's life, but also challenges parents, siblings and
relatives to cope with the life-threatening illness along with emotional
turmoil. Families are not only crippled emotionally, but financially as well.
Oftentimes, families travel far from home to get treatment for their diagnosed
children. The good thing , there are Cancer Society’s and social support team collaborates with hospitals, medical
centers and other children's organizations to extend help to the families who
struggle to pay for treatment necessities. They also provide a free or low-cost
"home-away-from-home" so that families can stay close to their
hospitalized child. The organization is centered on the focus that families are
stronger when they are together, helping them face the fight against illness.
